Alas our big V8 is going into Autohaus tomorrow to investigate the water loss, overheating issue, pending what they find we may have to duck out of bringing the A8. I'm also looking for feedback on a question on the D3 engine issues as this may see the car mothballed for a while.

Scotty won't be there. There is a free family room at Lindisfarne Inn for that reason (2 adults, one or two kids). Maybe someone wants to take the room?

Recently appointed apprentice Romping & Raving reporters (me and Tintin) were out and about in Northumberland a few weeks ago. There is a change to the agenda for Saturday am. Alnwick Castle/Gardens were unable to accommodate us so we will now be driving to Bamburgh Castle to park in the Courtyard directly in front of the Castle. This should provide a wonderful photo opportunity. There is a charge for entry of £10 per adult and £5 for under age 16. We will be collecting money from you on the Saturday morning so could I please ask you all to ensure you have cash with you as I suspect there are no cash machines near the Hotel. There is also a lovely café at Bamburgh where we can have lunch, the café owners have asked if we could not all turn up at the same time for lunch to prevent anyone having to wait too long. We will be at Bamburgh for around three hours so there is plenty of time for lunch and to look round the other parts of the Castle. Below is a link to the Castle Web page and the route we are planning to take to and from the hotel. The afternoon plan remains unchanged, we will be visiting Lindisfarne where we will have plenty of photo opportunities on the way over and in the large car park. There is a charge for the car park, £2.40 for three hrs or £4.00 all day. There was a notice on the machine that it did not accept the new £1 coins when we were there.
