Good question. I have no idea if it has been cut or not. What is the best way to install the HVAC foot well trim panel without damaging it? I want to avoid cutting or bend that bracket.

It does take a bit of wrangling but there should be enough lateral movement around the pedals to get the centre piece in first, past that bracket, then swing it forward in to the connection going to the foot well vent.

I got around to getting it into place. It was a pain. I had to remove the side panel from the center console

While I was doing this job I noticed that there was a wiring harness that's just hanging out and I'm wondering what this is for? Here is 2 pics of the wiring harness.
I pulled back the cover and its a connector of some sort. What is this for? Since I got the HVAC foot well panel installed and noticed the panel insulation is pressed up against the clutch pedal arm. It's kinda hard to see in the pic below. I have a feeling that I need to cut this out as it's in the way? Last edited by Audifan; 9th November 2020 at 10:35 PM. The connector is for the radio. Thats its normal place.
It does look like you need to trim the insulation as well as the plastic. |

Interesting. To me that connector doesn't look to go to the radio as it was separate from the wiring that actually goes to the radio.
It does look like I need to trim some of that plastic as well. I guess I need to take it back out to trim away some of the plastic and cut out the insulation. I hate how much of a hassle it is to get this panel back in. |
