And Audiworld has a better-sized view: http://forums.audiworld.com/picture....ctureid=166348 It's an interesting bit of total rethink redesign, presumably just to put a bit of extra functionality (and an extra wire) inside what is effectively the same size casing with the same rotating physical input. I'd put money on it being an incompatibility between the newer F125 switch and older TCU. Though how you solve it, heavens only knows...…….. ![]() Is it worth the risk of putting the original TCU back or would it cause a problem with an older gearbox? ![]()

W8AND is older than Y729XGA all I did was take XGA gearbox tcm and f125 put them in W8AND but wand is the one that has round f125 so I put that on Y729XGA box they both did work before the gearbox swap so guys and girls am relying on your help 100 percent to get this poor car on the road and to one of the meets its on my bucket list I've waited so long for that moment won't give up

OK here goes XGA had oval plug on gearbox when reconditioned and worked absolutely fine in that car W8AND gearbox with old round plug on stopped working limp mode so I took XGA gearbox and tcm and put them in W8AND but because W8AND has old round plug on loom to connect to f125 I could not use XGA f125 because it has oval black plug so I used W8AND f125 so I could connect XGA gearbox to W8AND loom.... Hp I really hope you get what I've done thanks foe everyone who has helped in this matter I really don't know what else to do😔

But what is the actual problem? P doesn't light up? Does it select gears and move?
