Yes it does have the fingerprint system, according to the MMI handbook, i have to enter 'CAR' then 'USER' to enter new users, delete old users as well as the seat/mirror/steering wheel position etc for each individual user, as it is, everything moves to someone else's setup, whic is kind of a pain in the arse.

In the 'settings' options, is the fingerprint sensor turned off and the key turned on for positions?

Though, where are you? we could maybe have someone nearby do a scan so look for errors, could be the fingerprint system is faulty.

Thats my problem, to enter 'settings' i need to select 'user'

I presume it must be on, as everytime i unlock the car everything starts motoring around. Unfortunately i live in the middle of nowhere, all the way out in anglesey.

PsYcHe was reffering to the settings menu, ie CAR > Settings > ....

the fingerprinting has some settings in there. if its set to Key the car picks up its settings in a different manner to the fingerprint profiles

I have settings elsewhere, but not related to the fingerprint/memory setup, the car suspension settings should also be under the same menu option, the warning lights come on at start up then extinguish as expected.

If i actually press the fingerprint reader, its says 'not recognized' but nothing happens.

Returned the car after finding a huge list of faults, its now posted on auto trader after someone bought it on e-bay for less than £4500 . .

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...51ya?logcode=p

It does'nt have sat nav, bose or phone prep, the rear diff requires replacing, the fingerprint reader is not working and locking you out of the suspension menu, the discs/pads all need replacing, the tailpipes are still a differant size and the engine 'hunts' constantly, the abs computer has a fault and various bits of trim are missing/broken . . . but the coil packs are new. Beware
