Really? i'm supprised by that as the side wall on a 20 is tiny compared to a 18 so the 18 there for soaking up more of the bumps.

My 21" Kahn wheels actually felt better to drive than the 19" low profiles on my last A4 which felt like go kart suspension, hard and uncomfortable.
A lot of it has to do with the type of seats and even the make of tyre too I feel. having said all that the 20" final editions are more comfortable on my 8 than the 21" Kahn wheels but neither can be said to be comfy lol I guess ive just got used to the ride now!

If the spacers were fitted at the same time as the 20s I'd still be pointing the finger at them first. Especially if they weren't removed when going back to 18s

The first things i'd do is check the spacers and make sure that your wheels are balanced correctly

Default Bumpy ride

Thanks for the suggestions guys....
I m not sure the answer is a simple one....but will slowly perservere and try to resolve.

I have similar symptoms with the a8 sports and no spacers....as I did with the final edition 20s..However with the final editions the symptoms were more severe....I think as a I was putting more strain on the drivetrain....

I changed the discs and pads last year...so dont think it is them...but I will check with a micrometer and adjust accordingly....however i did notice that the rear discs looked quite worn...ie lip showing...but loads of life left in the pads....

I am more inclined it might be suspension related...possibly worn engine or gearbox mounts.....but is there an easy way of checking these????? However, I think I ll do something I havent done before and book it in with an audi specialist first to investigate it and take it from there....
