One of the main reasons we left SA. ........... Glad your mom is alive to tell the tale Curtis, we lost a few friends who died in hijacks like this. Most people in SA know someone or have a family member whose car was hijacked........

yea its sad that we must leave this country to have a normal life just because of pathetic government and crime.my mom was seriously wanting to immigrate aswel thanks to this hijacking.we have just upgraded the house security to make it like a jail so hopefully it wont happen at the house again but its bound to happen again thats just how africa is (TIA).
i found a new a8 dark green in capetown im wanting to get to replace mine.just need to find the cash for it as dont think the banks will finance the car because of its age.im hoping doesnt get sold.

As i have said before i found Joberg very intimidating but thought Durban was quite nice or didn’t feel the same as Joberg, I know that sounds very stupid but it’s just a gut thing if you know what I mean.

I have also posted about a guy I was wanting to do business with a few years ago, we’d e-mail fairly regularly, I really struggled to get financial backing as it was all new and nobody would invest on the strength that I said I could return the money in 12 months. Anyway I found him on Linkedin recently and to my shock he told me he was shot in the face. We’re back in contact now and he’s sent me the article about it from Men’s Health magazine.

From what I’ve seen you live in a beautiful country f**ked up by politics and racism but then I don’t know anything.

that is really bad. he can be lucky that it was him that was hurt and not his girlfriend as i dont think she would be able to deal with being assaulted or raped as easily as us guys can deal with being hurt.its not something i would want to happen to me or anyone but if i was in that position i would have risked getting hurt to stop them hurting my gf.its just total crap that he got no justice from it and the police never caught them and that is the issue here they know they will get away with it.

They also probably ragged the engine to the red line all the time....

In my book getting a stolen car back is not usually good news.

Sorry for being so negative and I know they are rare in SA.
