Yep.. A main reason (apart fom the 30-odd hp) that the S8 is faster is due to the shorter gearing ratio.
Also a primary factor in them being less fuel efficient. But as Mike will no doubt be along to tell us in a minute.. LPG is the solution to that problem  Or in my case.. A fuel card
