Anyone got any links to a decent b&b or hotel in the tyndrum area?

My good lady wifeski doesn't fancy the bridge of orchy hotel & there's nowhere near that's both local AND nice.

At current success rate, il be attending with the Audi & my Mrs will be attending with our VW T4 camper

See my previous post. In a nutshell, there isn't anywhere else, this is the best I could find.

Anybody else that books here, we can share a taxi

There will also be a deadline for the 'excursions': the distillery and perhaps one or two others, but these will be a couple of months away. Good luck with the hotel/B&B; the Tyndrum Inn did offer to help, so you could give them a call and ask for Andy

It's looking very likely I am going to have to pass on the weekend now. I have just been reminded that it is my close friend's 40th birthday that weekend. Which means that a twin room is going to come available pretty soon if anyone is interested.

MOSQUITO ADVICE for the meet

WITH WARMER WEATHER COMES MOSQUITOS! WITH SUMMER APPROACHING I THOUGHT I'D SHARE THIS

Here is a homemade trap to help keep you and the kiddos from being a blood donor!!!

HOMEMADE MOSQUITO TRAP:
Items needed:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
1 2-liter bottle

HOW:
1. Cut the plastic bottle in half.
2. Mix brown sugar with hot water. Let cool. When cold, pour in the bottom half of the bottle.
3. Add the yeast. No need to mix. It creates carbon dioxide, which attracts mosquitoes.
4. Place the funnel part, upside down, into the other half of the bottle, taping them together if desired.
5. Wrap the bottle with something black, leaving the top uncovered, and place it outside in an area away from your normal gathering area. (Mosquitoes are also drawn to the color black.)

Change the solution every 2 weeks for continuous control.
