Well, it's an ongoing increase (2 tanks every year) but for me it wasn't the main reason, it just kinda swung it when I was contemplating upgrading. The main reason I didn't change is because my current S8 has been such a good car, coupled with the cost of buying another car, I was already leaning towards keeping my D2 when I realised the tax would be nearly twice as much.
