Well, I've owned my D3 for 12 months now and added 7K miles in that time.

My previous post mentions a brake issue, well as posted elsewhere it turns out the brakes are fine and feel perfectly ok after the buckled wheel was straightened out.

There are currently 2 mechanical issues remaining, the stuck manifold flaps and MMI clicking screen.

There are however quiet a few faults relating to the climate control system. Neither of the rear footwell heaters work and the recirculation flap motor under the bonnet has failed (luckily in the open position).

The keyless door handles seem to work as they should intermittently in the cold weather, but during the summer they were all fine.

However the car is 11 years old now, and in much better shape than a year ago.

I don't think I've seen a d3 where the rear footwell heaters work

It would be nice to have a clear error log but with the rear footwell heaters I don't think that's possible.

Unless you buy new.
I've considered it but for the amount of time I sit in the back I can't justify it.

The recirculating flaps seem easy enough with just taking the box off?

I need to get my handles working.
Audi wants about £100 a handle, I wonder if they would do a good discount for a bulk buy?

Its nice ticking off the list of the parts and sitting backing knowing you got nothing else to fix.

Almost a flat battery

Yesterday I vacuumed the car interior during the day, and was going to bed last night and spotted that the red LED's in the front doors were not flashing. Thinking I'd forgotten to lock the car, I hit the lock button on the remote, indicators flashed but still no LEDs blinking. So I head outside thinking something must be open, all doors are secure, opened boot and noticed the light did not come on.

Thinking the worst I jumped into the drivers seat and hit the start button, car fired up ok but starter was slow. Started the MMI, and battery indicator was showing just 20%, car was last driven about 36 hours before, but I had been opening and closing the doors and boot to vacuum them. MMI was switched off, so no music playing.

So at 11PM, out I go for a drive to put some charge back into the battery. 20mins later, battery back at 100% I switched off, LEDs blinking once again after locking and went to bed. This morning, started fine. MMI showed battery still at 100% after 9 hours.

Not sure what happened, will keep an eye over the next few days.

Mine started doing that before I had to replace the battery.

How old is yours?

Less than 1 year old, but I do know I have a persistent current drain caused by faulty keyless door handles.

It's been ok since as well, always showing 100% when I get in the car.

What's your issue with the door handles?
The normal one that they don't work?
