The terrible quality issues over the years, the Smolenski debacle, the repeatedly broken promises, the appalling reliability of the Speed-6 engine.
Now I hear it's back in British hands, but is anyone else really skeptical that they're going to deliver? I understand they're in Hampshire or some damned place now - nowhere near Blackpool anyway. I also hear their new car will have a Cosworth V8. That's a good start I suppose - they're not trying to create their own engine. It's a matter of not being overly ambitious. http://tvr.co.uk/newcar says the new car will be "incredible value for money" - if it comes in at under £50k, then I think they might be in with a shout. Anyway, I just wonder how much appetite there is for a new TVR, in an age where CO2 is the devil incarnate. Don't get me wrong, I want them to succeed, but I'm very, very doubtful.
