Do You Hear There.....
HMS ILLUSTRIOUS is coming to a town near you!
As long as you are on the River Mersey and have a Liner Jetty big enough to take her.  Yep, we are coming to Liverpool over the weekend 22 to 27 Oct and the ship will be open to visitors on Sunday the 25th Oct; come one come all. However, as a special treat to A8oc members I am happy to host them and their families to a private visit outside of the Sunday opening to the public. I do however have to have a few of rules. Sorry! 1. I have to have met you, so I know what you look like. 2. Children under 4 and the more mature that may not be as sprightly as they use to be will stuggle. Babes in arms are out I'm afraid just too dangerous. However, don't be to detered I can take them inboard and give them a comfotable chair and coffee. They just won't be able to do a ship's tour. There are over 30 ladders in the extended tour; some of them verticle. 3. Group size for the tour is max of 8. 4. You will be liable to search on entry and exit So, if you are interested, PM me and I'll see what I can sort out. CtL

Things firming up so I suggest that the locals will do Thu/Fri and those who have a bit of travelling to do can have Sat and possible Sunday. Monday I will get exhausted on local beverages!!!
