V10 is a strong engine its lambo after all and was made to produce over 500bhp and its running 450 de-tuned so yes they are very good engines the W12 has its draw backs no room what so ever in the engine bay cant really do much power and torque are very respectable and the W12 has a more exotic feel to it if you ask me yes its more refined but the W12's distinct engine note is more like a bugatti W16 kind of sound and the V10 Well as you would expect its a lambo V10 and sounds like a lambo V10 witch to be honest i like the idea of it because with a nice exhaust set up you really turn heads when people look down the road and can hear a gallardo and yet the engine note is coming from the back of what is an audi A8 really and i like that it will get people thinking unless your a petrol head and know your cars

15k is a good price for the S8 even if the miles a touch high if its been well maintained then you should have no problems with the S8

and just to confirm the brakes on my W12 are 380mm i measured them just to make sure
so if you do get the ceramic option dont worry too much about the 4k cost to replace the discs because the dimensions are the same and you can use W12 discs with the 6 pot callipers and that would still be a hell of a set up i think the D3 4.2 has a 363mm set up but the W12 has deffo got the 380mm

You should find a 2007 @ 95k miles for £15k. And if you get lucky a facelift 2008 for not a lot more.
I'd stick out for the B&O and the Adaptive Cruise.

Footnote. I think that the S8 ceramics are smaller than the standard steel discs

Leave it at £15k.

Mine went for £16500 with all the options you wanted and 62k on the clock.

God I miss that car....

The librarian is sorry to do bonfire ****ing but.....

It's a common misconception that the 5.2 V10 used in the C6 S6 and D3 S8 is a detuned version of the Lambo 5.0 V10. Lambos engine was developed using Audi technology after Audi aquired Lambo. In fact, the later Gallardo LP560 use a slightly modified Audi 5.2 V10. (Source - Goood ole Wikipedia)

I saw one parked up in Crawley recently (posted a spotted on the M25 about it previously) so had a butchers - parking was clearly by the blind as wheels kerbed to hell and a large scrape on the NSR wheel arch. I guess there's a number around bought by people who can afford it but aren't necessarily able/bothered about driving it carefully

Hope the next one is better - got a link to the dodgy one so others don't waste a trip?

Looks quite tidy... No ACC, or B&O, but well specced otherwise.
