Yes i have a cable but it shows no faults on the engine or transmission.

It's just a theory but it might be wrong feedback from O2 sensors, in WOT ECU works open loop and does not take them into account so it works fine, at part throttle fuel amount is adjusted depending from O2 sensor feedback. But it could also be ignition related.

Hmm could this be checked with a vag com in mesuring blocks?
