I've read that post and I was resetting MMI via buttons and via VCDS, nothing.
Changing 0 to 2, 2 to 0, but in all that frustration I could forget to do the one reset which counts

I will go soon and change coding to 0 from 2 in 77 Tel and will reset it once again.

Mic and Voice control is working.

Changed 2 back to 0, MMI reset via buttons and all is back to normal.

I've had this thought all day, but it's more serious as there is no communication with it either via VCDS or VAS

That Audi Master Technician I spoke with said to me very clearly, there is no way to bring that module back to life without some advanced electronic programming from scratch outside the car.

He've seen it many times, and when driver is lost for the module yo wont bring it back with MMI CD2 no matter how many times you will try.

Well however you feel it's not been a waste of time as we all have learnt a little bit.

Going back to your module, I think that you could possibly read the EPROMs of your working module, to burn the old one back to life and sell or keep as spare.

Might be worth asking a8 doc as I believe he might have equipment to do it.

Hi HP

Yes yes, this was the plan from the beginning, but wanted to wait until is all fixed. Will post a guide inc. location, installing, coding etc this evening probably. Got all the photos just need to put everything together. The only problem is I've got 7 meetings with contractors today since 9am plus 3 windows sales reps visiting as well to replace all windows and doors, so looking forward to it
