D4 S8 Disc brake size
Need new discs and pads.
But every supplier is saying they are 356mm.... if they are 380mm on the 4.2 tdi and the S8 visually look larger than the 4.2 tdi then what size are they ....390+mm? I also need a full technical spec and can't find one.. I'm looking for the offset, thickness, diameter, etc. Etc. I've found a company in America that will make oem replacement rotors in a two piece full floating. The calipers are great but the rotor let's it down when your braking from 200mph!!! Anyone able to help me with a spec? Many thanks Ian |

Have you tried TPS?

380mm or 400mm were the two I’ve seen, not available aftermarket as Audi have a patent on the design, but I did see some recently that were reasonably priced, don’t have a link to hand though as travelling at present.

Looking at ETKA based n a 2015 car, the biggest fronts seem to be 400 x 38mm (Brembo). This is the same size as the ceramics

400mm is rare on the 4.2TDI, only seen one fitted with them. Also used on the W12.
380mm more likely, PR code 1LJ. See here for specs. https://www.zimmermann-bremsentechni...quattro-35823/ |

Note to self, read the title!
S8 will probably be be 400mm! But the 380mm linked above is listed for S8 also, so need to check the PR code to be sure? |

Right I've measured them following a pad change and what an interesting design! 400mm X 38mm and they are fully floating... they have aluminium rivets that hold the rotor on the hat...

Which is Audi’s patent I understand, hence nothing aftermarket off the shelf. I’m interested in why you want to get some made, to try to improve them?
