My aerial has gone to silicon heaven. Obviously new ones are unobtanium but a “generic” powered option can be squeezed in and a quick check works all dandy. BUT! What is the aerial connection fasten to the power aerial? It’s not a standard DIN plug and appears to be a screw in fitment. What do I need to connect a DIN cable into this unusual fitment? Anyone know?

Are you thinking of putting the aerial in the boot lid unit?
If so you're right, not a typical GPS aerial connector. ![]() The thread is probably on here somewhere but ages ago I replaced the aerial on my old (long gone) PF S8 and didn't even try to get anything inside the old failed unit. My solution was an external puck mounted at the very base of the rear screen. Worked fine. ![]() As for connecting it I looked at various options but in the end ran the thin cable along the boot gutter (behind the rubber seal IIRC) then up the boot strut (with other cables) and patched it behind the boot lid trim. That DID involve cutting into and reterminating the coax aerial cable. I "think" (it was long ago) I split the cable and fitted a M/F pair of "modern" copnnectors so that I could reinstate if necessary.
