Initially thought some turd had pushed the passenger door mirror in, but after getting in its normal position again I was reverse parking at work....
Adjusted the door mirror to passenger side (so it points down so I can reverse park like a pro) but that retracted the mirror! the driver side makes a grunt - so something else to look at. You can still see the mirror glass pointing down though, when engaging reverse, so that part is sound! I faffed about with the switch for a while and when it was over to the right - to control the drivers mirror, the drivers window button went funny and the window went down and wouldn't go back up! It actually went down, but pressing the window button to bring it up! I turned the door mirror switch to the middle and the window switch was then operable correctly and window came up. 99% sure its the switch, but the part of that trim looks like its all one piece? anyone stripped the drivers door down, in particular that component? |

Convenience module issues?
It's also possible a water ingress issue. Rain getting in through an open window, and settling on the switch panel could cause partial short circuits or contact.

Whats that?
The water ingress idea could be spot on, when it was slightly raining and I had the window open, it drips in exactly above it... dismantle required! |
