Wanted timing tool kit Audi s8 40 valve engine
I m looking to buy the timing tool kit for the 40 valve s8 engine...so could someone tell me where I can get one from thanks

Thats for a 2004 though, so D3..... I've not looked, but I'd be very surprised if the D3 and D2 engines used the same tools....

I've always done timing belt jobs without the tool, so can't say for sure. But I assumed the early non-FSI-engined D3 V8 used the same cam/crank lock, but I'm probably wrong.
Back to the bay then!

I've just confirmed - the cam / crank locking tool for timing belt replacement are the same for facelift D2 V8 and pre-FSI D3 V8.

I bought these from Germany, only used locking tool to check timing, have not used other tools as I didnt need to change the belt.

Cambelt tools
Thanks guys my plan to pull an repair an s8 engine is slowly coming together...judging by the fact that blauparts.com charge about 350 deposit for their timing tool kit...I expected to pay quite a lot but those prices above are quite reasonable.
