after seeing David had done a service i decided to do the same and make a little guide. i know there are very few W12 D3's on the forum but hear it is any way
![]() 12 Plugs were not cheap around £210 for a full set ![]() I did mine one side at a time. first thing to do is take off the maf and the connection pipe ![]() do this on both sides ![]() Remove the Two T30 Torx head bolts and the half will split, the hoses are just slipped on and easy to remove ![]() http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/a...025_115250.jpg i found a broken pipe so i fixed that while i was there ![]() ![]() ![]() you can see where the oil from the breather was leaking a tad so i cleaned that up too ![]() On to coil removal ![]() They are simple to take out only pushed in place they are new as they were done under a recall just before the new engine was fitted ![]() ![]() Repeat for all the plugs ![]() Hear you can see the 2011 Stamped engine ![]() ![]() The repared pipe back in place ![]() Reverse to put it back together ![]() And now for the other side ![]() Same as the other side only this time you will have to remove the oil filler spout to be able to remove the number 7 coil pack ![]() one 10MM bolt as you can see ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You can see the different angles that form the W between pistons ![]() Again reverse the steps to re assemble ![]() Its quite easy and may save you quite a fair amount of money to do it yourself audi would charge £500+ for this simple process I will do some more when i get a chance maybe the full oil change and air filters. ![]() ![]() Last edited by daviesbike; 29th October 2012 at 02:08 PM. |
