D3 S8 Wrap - Advice Please
Folks.
I might get shot asking this question!. I am thinking of having a vinyl wrap on my 2007 S8. The reason for this is that the front has a few stone chips and a scratch on the rear quarter. Got a quote and it was around £750 and because she is silver the colour match is not guaranteed, almost will be able to tell the difference (unless i am wrong and will stand corrected) So the question is if I was to think of a wrap - what would suit it - Now previously having a few Italian marks, i love Rosso Corsa Red - but thats just me. She has a Black interior (images on Forum Cars) - Please give me some peer advice!!!! Nik |

Have you looked at plastidip? It's a rubberised coating which can be easily peeled off. the main advantage over wrapping is that the plastidip can be repaired if it gets chipped whereas a wrap has to be replaced and this can be costly. Its also available in loads of colours and finishes.

I wouldn't get it wrapped..
Get a touch up kit from Audi and a de-nubber, then you should be able to touch up the stone chips.. and depending on the scratch, you may be able to polish it out.

Personally, I wouldn't wrap, or plasti-dip.
I would get it painted, a lower half paint job can work wonders, and even if you go the cheaper localised option, a good shop should be able to do an "undetectable" job. Good luck!
