Default Comprehensive Check and Service

I'm after a bit of advice.

Having had my A8 for a couple of weeks, I really want to know what it wrong with it. By that I mean, I would like to know if the brakes need changing within x miles, if a part is on its last legs etc. That will give me far more confidence than driving round and not knowing anything.

I would also like a full service - the car had its cam belt changed just before I picked it up and the dealer said it also had an oil service but the filter is clearly not a new one.

I have heard great things on this forum about AVPerformance. Only trouble is, I live in kent and work in SW London. Is it worth me taking a day out to take my car up there and have a check/service (including gearbox oil etc)?

What are people's thoughts? Are there good places further south or is it worth the trip to AVP?

Thanks

I live in Plymouth and work in Edingurgh. All routine maintainance tuning and mechanical repair is now done by Ben at AVP. For an in depth report on your car it's worth a day to drive up to Burton and get it done.

I know others will agree.

i totaly agree with mike. the best place for your 8 is to take it to avp. i only live about 70 miles away but i always take it to ben and wouldn,t think of takin it anywhere else. also if you are a member of a8oc you get between 10 15 % discount. so you get good service and a good price
