Just to annoy all you young guns, I got my '08 A8L Fully Comp with only £350 excess for £206 - I kid you not!

That's Swiftcover and we had a claim with them by my wife last year which they handled A-OK, so I know they are fine if needed.

I'm so happy......

Stew,

Hi Oli
If it was for speeding, it shouldn't make any difference, or at least it made no difference with any of the companies I have used in the past. Although currently clean, at one point I had 3 (for speeding & almost expired) then copped a 6 pointer for speeding, so had 9 for a short while, this made no difference to the premium, so I wouldn't panic too much.
(The only hassle I got was with the DVLA who wrote me a rather snotty letter regarding my HGV1 licence, but a few well placed angry words sorted that out)

Just re-insured with Bell using there auto re-insurance process at £350. Rang them as I am now up here in Scotland and increased my annual milage from 12 to 25k and it went up to £440.

Time to look around.

Ouch shouldn't have tried so hard to be 22, i knew that was going to sting you somewhere.

So you in Bonny all the time now or can i still come to Plymouth so you can educate me in the dark arts of Vagcom?

Not all the time. I get to go home every 2 or 3 weekends or so. I'm down for a week at Witson. Pop over if you want.

I was with Bell Direct and was quoted about the £350 mark - did the Meerkat.com search and Swiftcover came up at £206 with a lot less excess too.
