Thanks for the response ian (and just saw everyone else's replies too)- and the kind offer to relieve me of the brakes! (it seems like every other post here someone is offering to take them off my hands lol).

I think you're right about the hubs though...

I have emailed Ben to see what his thoughts are...i'd still really like to fit them and i'm hoping that if you can fit Porsche brakes using brakes, then surely there must be a way of doing this with other Audi brakes (he says with a hopeful tone).

I'll keep you guys posted on progress though...i may need to begrudgingly sell these on...but i'm not giving up yet
