So good tracks in there from all i reckon, i don't really have a particular genre that i listen too it's just a mass of stuff i like. With Pink Floyd getting some "shout outs" from a few, woo!
Some stuff i think is good, is a little bit obscure. Steve n seagulls cover of ACDC's Thunderstruck and Metallic's Nothing Else Matters are worth a listen a very different style to the originals but works. THUNDER STRUCK There must be some tracks that even if you don't like the artist or music style you have thought "that sounds good through my system" I have a CD produced by Naim that is clearer, crisper and louder than all others, it used to be used as a demo CD and will give your system a right working out. We did try it one year in Mam's 8 on B&O but only one track and that was for the high end, would have been good to get the bass working hard on another track.

Bit late spotting this but like Mark, I like what I like. Music is purely personal but I'm lucky in that SWMBO and I have similiar tastes apart from me being rather keen on certain classical pieces, and that man from Maastricht Andre Rieu.
Al the usual Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, John Michele Jarre (one Saturday evening stood on the banks of the Seine in Paris when he played along with lasers and fireworks) and many others. I have had the good fortune through my coach driving life of meeting many musical stars and there entourages throughout Europe, and all the gigs that I have been backstage with. In 1988 I had the luck to look after the Kirov Ballet for their three week visit to London, in a lot of ways I think that was the highlight of my coaching career. The last weekend they paid for SWMBO to travel to London and spend the time with us backstage. That was when BBC2 were transmitting Swan Lake live from the auditorium while Gwen and I were in the Green Room watching it on TV with the cast running off and on stage so they could see themselves on the goggle box. But I digress. Mark you know that I, along with Gwen, do think that we like Queen.

I've taken quite a few coaches to Paris gigs over the years, even a Cliff Richard one once, but the John Michelle Jarre one was pure luck. I had an American school party on a three week UK and European tour with four days in Paris. Took some of them for a walk around Place de la Concorde and heard the music, ran over to the river and WOW!!!. Some of those gullible American kids thought that I'd arranged it for them.
Another time in Paris was during the Live Aid Concert, again with American Kids, older ones, late teens. Managed to cancel the day and evening trips and stayed in the hotel with them watching Live Aid on TV.

I knew as soon as I started reading this that I would be in the minority with my music choices and that to the untrained ear it might sound like a waste of a B&O system, however, as with all music purists once you get into the finer nuances of a genre or movement you learn to pick out the intricacies.
The lightest I go is stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQmtcaI3VEs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D0cDmm7Cz_k But in the main its stuff like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xIF9PgaSlo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjKyzwqIT7s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc6K4fF-lf8 Its quite funny to me that from the outside it looks as though I am driving around in comfort but behind the double glazed windows it sounds like someone is getting murdered |

Don't forget Chris DeBurgh. We caught his "Hands Of Man" tour at the Salford Lowry last year. Good concert and remember he is a lot older now but was in good voice.
SWMBO was well pi$$ed 'cos he jumped off stage, ignored her and shook my hand. Yes, another good gig Try this, not the one in Paris same kind of thing but much more recent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBqHKQ5dmQI Just found the Paris La Defense concert 1990 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNsNyL6T5gQ

I kinda like big dreamy trance music to drive to , Matt darey , Sven vath , tiesto , van buren , Jon o'Callaghan and co , helps me relax and bask in the opulence of the 8
However , some old rave , nirvana , def tones , Motörhead , and proper British punk speeds things up a bit Daft punk , paul Woodford , and scarymann tunes also add to the drive Music for me has to be loud deep and involving , classical , ? , orf , Vagner Benjamin Britten Cypress hill , beasties, ll cool J The list goes on , as it should Eclectic , me?
