I have two in my parts drawer at home, both working AFAIK. One is used bought from a breaker, the other is new but has a scuff on the "chrome".

I wouldn't suggest cutting either of them up

I am certified and at home on weekend leave.
Is that sufficient for your needs, Nick?

Gwen and I have rather damp underpinnings now, it really hit our funnie spots.

Well I got my certificate (Thanks Ray) donned high vis and rocked up at the tip, or should I say dig.
I should have known, the car park was rammed with some of the shiniest A8 & S8's on the planet, and the landscape awash with busy shovels and bleeping metal detectors.
The lads on the gate where happy as Larry and charging for entry. I tried to explain that this was an official door handle recovery operation but they weren't having it and I had to pay a fiver to get in.
Anyway, to update. Hours of digging and sifting have left me with a sore back, two computers (broken), three compliments on my spade wielding, four candles and five hundredweight of assorted bottle tops and empty crisp packets, and a toaster.
Despite several cries of joy from other diggers the handle has yet to be found.
I now depart somewhat discouraged and leave the ongoing mission to discover parts unknown, to the rest of you.
Good luck

Back on topic, I was reading the latest posts at AS8.ru and spotted one member had stripped the handle, cleaned and replaced the PCB button from a Mercedes. Although I think any high quality momentary push button would work.
