Well what I have thought is to have one nice car a D2, that I will tie 10k up in. That could be the green one with mods etc upto that value then a crappy runaround that's reliable and cheap to run and insure that I can park anywhere and not care about as a daily. Cheaper and more clapped out the better.
So the 6.0 conversion ain't that unrealstic...
However I wish someone on the forum would sell what I believe to be the ultimate S8 as that would save me the hassle *cough cough* you know who you are!

Can't remember where I saw the thread, but there was one with some real horrors like this.. One that was on a Beetle (I think) that had worn down to past the main material on the disk and was into wearing away the vanes on the vents!

I would confess that the W12 conversion piqued my interest, but.... lack of funds put paid to that landing in my beloved prefacelift S

My only concern would be gearbox & diff, as one of my projects exploded 11 gearboxes and 2 range rover diffs when I decided to 'give it the beans' damned entertaining though!

As I said...... I'm watching with interest....
