The lower mats do have foam, yes, and the upper ones do not. The drivers side one is always smaller as it doesnt intrude into the pedal area. Both mats, upper and lower should secure through 1 pair of lugs, with the lower mat sitting down low enough for the top one to click on top. I'm quite sure the make up of pre and post face will be different, for the drivers side at least, as the post face for example had the kick down switch under the throttle pedal, which pre face does not. Passenger side may well fit. In either case, getting a colour match will be hard. The only colours that were in both pre and post face was platinum, aka light grey, which is the colour you appear to have on the right of your photos ? And then still, the material will differ.... Just clean the old ones...
