VagCom!!
Hello all. I'm hoping I've posted in the right section?
I've got hold of 409.1 and am having some trouble with it. Initially it always came up with 'no response from controller'. My limited computer skills only took me about an hour to get the first fix (Moved com ports) then I could read the engine fault codes. I then tried the engine 2 module and it comes up with the 'no response from controller' again!! What's going on?? I've got a USB cable from Ebay. |

It all depends on which modules that are fitted to your car. In the case of the my S8 D2 these are:
Chassis Type: 4D - Audi A8 D2 Scan: 01,02,03,08,15,16,17,35,45,56

They are also sometimes temperemental. Sometimes takes 2 or 3 goes on mine to read some units (assuming they're fitted).
Most of the stuff on VAG-COM isn't on the D2s, it's added to the other models in the ranges and as Mike says, you may not have all the D2 options. If it stops working, there's a fuse in the driver's footwell (had it blow on me at one point). |

Thanks for the replies people. One more question, what can I change on the car? I'd like to reset my service indicator (Maybe gearbox stuff if possible!!)but I've had a look and I can find the dash instruments but nothing for the service?
