You do need to change the pagefile size for multiple cards. I usually set it to minimum:16GB, maximum:32GB.
Have you tried adjusting the GTX1080 Ti settings to reduce the power? I find you can get them to about 200W per card with very little loss of performance. Their ROI is certainly not at good as the 480s though, but hopefully they're a little more future-proof. How much BTC short of buying an L3+ are you?

In my experience for GTX any drop in GPU speed was resulting in more of lost revenue than savings in power costs. I am actually running them overclocked in both memory and GPU. I have tried several settings up to +200 on core +1000 on memory but it kept playing up. But I think it was all down to me using Remote Desktop as it seems to run OK with monitor connected directly to card when overclocked while still bailing out even at stock speeds if I used Remote Desktop. Power setting is always between 80-90%.
I have 0.39717738 BTC in my wallet at the moment. When I was looking at L3+ yesterday it went unavailable for a while yesterday so when it was available again this morning I placed order as I have got e-mail from bittylicious that my identity has been confirmed just to find that buying amount is limited. So technically I have ordered L3+ but have not paid for it, they do state that if I do not pay within 1 hour they may cancel my order. I placed order for 1x L3+ and 2x power supplies. PSU's seemed cheap enough to buy as spare or to use for GPU's. Total order was 0.923BTC but as I understand they can cancel it or I suppose increase payment, I do not expect it to go down so I am about 0.4 BTC short. If you ask how much short am I, I suppose you might be able to help me. I would be happy to buy or borrow some from you Bitcoins using PayPal.

If you give me the BTC amount you need to cover it and one of your Bitcoin addresses, I'll send it to you ASAP. Just send it back to me (in Bitcoin) when you can. No rush.

Thanks again for helping out Mark.
Now that we are back to public posts what are your experiences with GTX1080Ti? I am very disappointed paying £1300 for a pair, it looks like it will take 20 months to pay back. They cost more than 4x RX480, generate less money and run hotter and louder. I think I am entitled to return them within 14 days according to distance selling regulations. Or if not then maybe sell them on ebay, I should still get £600 each. And then pre-order 4x RX580 instead. Which ones did you buy, these are mine http://www.ebuyer.com/784948-gigabyt...gaming-oc-11gd, now slightly more expensive than what I paid. Also have my eye on this motherboard to pre-order http://www.ebuyer.com/784948-gigabyt...d-13-pci-slots

So the L3+ is about £1400 at the moment? Does the BTC price of the machine fluctuate with the exchange rate or is it static so getting cheaper as BTC falls?
Its out of stock again it seems. |

From what I have noticed price was 40 Litecoins all the time I looked and Bitcoin and USD price was changing depending on rate.

I'm leaning away from larger, more complex rigs now. We have built 8-card rigs but they can be challenge to get everything running stable and you're generally using non-standard parts, like that BTC motherboard. I'm trying to find a configuration that's reliable, simple and quick to construct, with readily available components so that I'm not wasting so much time searching for stock or researching alternatives every time I build a new rig. MikkiJayne, the price is tied to fiat currency unfortunately (probably the Dollar). They're allocated and produced in batches so sometimes they're available to order again after a week or two.
