Yeah it's odd. I have no idea why they'd want to limit their audience.

On the surface, if that was available today, I'd be buying one immediately, certainly looking at it very carefully.
Not quite sure how big it is, but given the Jaguar XE is one of our options it looks similar in size. No dimension findable online. Or more likely never. (It is April 1st )

DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant. 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one! Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later) 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850! Tipping point today?
It's most commonly quoted as being "3 Series" sized, so probably an XE equivalent, based on my limited knowledge of the XE.
I think today may be looked back on as a tipping point for EVs - as of this point in the evening today, reservation deposits for the Model 3 are in excess of 198,000, prompting this tweet a short while ago:=> https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...18&oe=57861DB0. For anyone on here who's interested, here a good, digestible potted summary in the one place: http://electrek.co/2016/04/01/tesla-...-day/?pushup=1 Though bear in mind that both of these, though correct when loaded earlier today, are already out of date now. |
