That sound sore Richard, hope you get better soon. I don't chase Strava segments, been told if I come off the bike I could break into small pieces

Managed a few laps on the velodrome today, first time I've tried this bike since building it.
Just requires the saddle adjusted slightly and it will be perfect

Did another track drop-in session on Friday morning

59 miles and 4000 feet of elevation today, very autumnal weather going over The Campsie Hills

The view is from the top of the Tak Ma Doon at the carpark overlooking Kilsyth

Last time I rode up it, it was more put-me-doon than tak-me-doon

Yup.. and I'd done it after 4 consecutive weekends of climbs, Glendoe (A strava Cat 2), The Etape Caledonia, a few cat 4's, the Mennock pass and most of the way to the radar station, then on to the Tak-Ma-Doon.. Knees were knackered!

Oh my bad...and in the bad books again with SWMBO as N+1 has grown another bike...

I've been admiring titanium frames for a while and like the idea of low maintenance but I keep reading how the tubing can and often does eventually crack, which really put me off spending over £1.5k for a bare frame. Then I discovered that Genesis have brought out a new Reynolds 931 stainless steel tubed bike fitted out with Shimano Ultegra groupset and wheels. I found a dealer close to me and they had one in stock in my size and with a bit of wheeling and dealing I managed to pick it up for a great price. Just need to change the saddle for a Prologo Scratch and it will be good to go. On the scales it comes in at just under 8.5kgs so slightly heavier than most of the bikes I have but I doubt I will notice any difference in my speed

Looks great... and the 52/36 with the 11-28 is a nice balance in gearing.
