I've put it in my diary, lots going on domestically so it will be a lastminute.com decision, assuming I can register late.

DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant. 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one! Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later) 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850! |

Well I went to the 'show' as a normal person, took the Beemer as the Audi failed MOT.
My observations: There was: A ton of Tee tees - TT owners group there. A bunch of A2's - A2 owners group there. Some UR quattros - some more genuine than others Audi Q series cars scattered about A few R8's V8 and V10 which some of the 'boys' loved revving the nuts out of (thought they were scooby owners) Most interesting?: 1974 NSU Ro 80 with rotary engine had a lot of interest with a small group of Audi 100's from the same era Nogaro Blue Audi S4 Pink (factory ordered) A3/S3 - Just mad but fun. Audi Q7 for all the wrong reasons And any A8's? Well I spotted two. One a slammed A8, debadged, W reg (I think), black(ish) non sport with a note on the screen apologising about the state of the alloys. One a silver PF A8 with an S8 numberplate. That was it unless there were more sneaking around. All in all, as my daughter put it, it was pretty 'meh'. But it was a cheap way to visit the motor museum without paying full price.

Or not..... I think the weather intervened!
It's this coming Sunday, 14th July, anyone going? I can make it for once.... £18 seems a bit steep, but that's trivial compared to the petrol needed to get there and back.
