Looks like a bargain.
It's even got novel little handles on the rear doors, presumably to make the windows go up and down! How retro! |

And isn't a 2.8 Quattro a fairly rare beast?
What's the little panel on the dash to the right of the hazard switch, where many will have more switches (or the odd blank)?

Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later) 1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850! |

The panel to the right is a coin/card holder.
You press the button at the top and the lid flip opens. or you can go facelift and fit a cup holder.

HowManyLeft says 723 are licensed, more than I expected actually. And currently 3 for sale on AutoTrader. Thanks Scott for the offer. I do have the air box cover, it's in the boot with the other parts!

My parents had a 2.4 SE Auto saloon for years - no cow, manual ventilation in the back, 16" wheels.....
Was quite rare by the time it died with gearbox woes about 4 years ago - I always liked the 2.8 quattro but never ended up owning one. I preferred it the BMW equivalent in its day - I drove both back to back when they were new

Quick update
Removed the seats to renovate all the leather outside of the car for easy access. With an empty interior I found about £3 quid in shrapnel, 4 year old receipts, piles of dog hair and enough gravel to redo a driveway!
Also replaced the seatbelts as the exiting beige one's were dirty and fraying in parts. Today I got the interior all back in and it looks decent once again (although my phone pics aren't the best). Next job is to remove the front wing swap it for a new one.

Have taken the A4 on a road trip. Currently in Ukraine and completed the journey from Norwich without any hiccups.
We covered 1316miles in 24hours of driving time split over 2 days. Trip computer says we averaged 55mph and 37.6mpg. We did hit 38.5mpg but then dropped with the air con on full to counter the 35c sunny Polish weather. I really missed the A8 on this trip, especially as the A4 doesn't have cruise control. Overall no complaints with the A4. Here's a photo when we parked up after crossing the Polish Ukraine border to buy 3rd party insurance.

Excellent Matty.
Part of my family were Polish, and I'd love to get over there some day. The 2.8 looks like it's doing very well in your care!
