Coincidence? I just listed my alloys for sale on here and Tyresmoke & a few other sites. This morning all four had been nicked, I know some unsavoury characters lurk on forums but I haven't given anyone my address, just my area, absolutely gutted and nearly cried when I saw the car in the morning. My area is the best in my town and all the neighbours are really upset as nothing like this has happened before

Yeah, they had left it on bricks. Heard no noises nothing, asked the police to see if they could fingerprint/check CCTV but they aren't interested. Instead they are coming around tomorrow to give me a 'Crime information pack' and speak to neighbours, but I have already done this. The insurance company has asked 3 different recovery companies to lift it but all refused saying an S8 needs specialist equipment. I've been on the phone all day, now they have arranged for Audi to collect it. They reckon they have managed to source some replacement alloys which are coming in at over £1k a corner with tyres and the guy reckons they may even write it off. They also need to inspect for other damage as they may not have used the correct jacking points etc.... What is the book price on a 2001 S8 with 136k?
I was actually getting rid of the wheels to free up some cash and now I have excess to pay out, grrr. Going to have to go into my savings. I would post a picture here but honestly, its cringe worthy. I really did not want to claim on my insurance, dunno what it will do to my premium but I haven't really got a choice.
