Is it only doing it since you upgraded to the RNS-E? just wondered if it may be a problem with the install.

There was the same problem with RNS-D.
No connection with RNS-E installation.

RESOLVED.
I actually had faulty heating segment on the demister. It seems previous owner threw a box into parcel shelf and edge of the box had scuffed the demister element. I've found a small scratch on glass that crosses the heating "wire", apparently, damaging it. I've purchased Granville rear heater repair kit from Halfords and fixed it. Now no hissing sound at all when heating is on -- checked all radio stations. Thanks everyone.
