David,

Can you supply individual springs, for the 3.7QS. Not sure if they are the same as the 4.2 QS.

You want a matched pair.

The reason it sits lower on one side could be because one of the springs were changed in past not both at the same time.

At least you need to get the spring with the same colour markings on it from the similar mileage car if changing just one spring and not just by the car model.

They should do but only way to know for sure is to check colour markings on yours and buy the ones with the same colour markings. Otherwise they could could be slightly stiffer or softer.

Another thing to take keep in mind is that many 8's are sagging a bit in rear so it might be beneficial to get slightly stiffer version if buying second hand

False economy buying used springs, better buying a new pair, that way you won't have any problems for a long time. Buying OE parts from or TPS should not be much more than £100 a pair I would think

Well it does look like a broken spring,

I just popped out and took a couple of quick pictures without removing the wheel.

The first one is the spring on the low side, and the second one is the good other side.

That does look broken. You can see 2 green dots on it in the picture so it is either 1 white 3 green or 1 white 2 green. If you buy one you need same colour coding from similar age of car.

I would agree with David - the springs can sometimes snap off at the seat end on the front and back - have you checked the seats to see if they're ok?
