Default RS6 Multifunction steering wheel for sale

I am selling the four spoke multi function steering wheel from my RS6, sometimes referred to as the MFSW on here.

This is considered an upgrade from the normal three spoke sport steering wheel, and as such the person that ordered my car brand new specified this as an optional extra rather then have the standard three spoke.

Benefits

You can change the volume, track, rewind, and forward all from the steering wheel.
This steering wheel will allow you to enable voice control (if you already have RNS E, Bluetooth) using Vag Com

Also, bare in mind you will still be able to change gear using the buttons on the steering as normal.

I haven’t got photos of my steering wheel yet, here is a link to an eBay auction of one exactly the same.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Loch-Leder...item231b8ac7d0

That steering wheel is £333, and that doesn't even include delivery from Germany.

So, I feel £250 is a fair price for mine, as it is in great condition coming from my 40,000 mile RS 6. PM me if interested.

Question

Out of interest, what you swapping it for? I'd guess at a flat bottomed RS job...?

Amar, are you selling that with the airbag slip ring? Because if going into a car with regular three-spoke tip wheel, the clock springs are very different.

Nollywood, yep I guess so, sounds like it won't be as much use to me anymore and yes I'm getting the three spoke as I don't like the four spoke. I'll need to ask the guy selling me the three spoke for the slip ring thing, thanks for the heads up on that.

You need to do some rewiring for this Amar. Going from a MFSW to a Tiptronic (paddle) wheel is almost as much work as going the other way.

The current MFSW slip ring has the horn and airbag connections, which can be reused, but everything else is sent over a databus from the MFSW controller. You will need to find the tiptronic up and down wires, and run them up to the back of the new slip ring on the steering column. I cant remember if the paddle shifts are illuminated like the tip up/down on the MFSW - If so, you need to bring a feed for the illumination from the tiptronic selector too.

Not hugely difficult, but not a 2 minute swop either.

It will be hugely beneficial to the new buyer if you sell the slip ring and any snipped off connectors with the steering wheel as it will be a far more useful complete retrofit kit....
