finally got round to changing the batteries in the key fob for the chief's remote
and so now have 2 remotes which lock/unlock with appropriate flashes for my 2000FL sport [ using the key in ignition system ]

HOWEVER whereas both seat memories are recorded and work by pushing the buttons on the drivers door only the number 1 key automatically sets up the seat etc when used to open the drivers door

so clearly I am missing something ! must be simple but what is it ???

Is the key perhaps programmed to the driver's door button 3 or 4?

Or maybe the key is a clone of key#1? .... If you move the seat then unlock with the key#2 remote, does the seat return to memory #1 position?
