OK, it's "**** or bust" time! Put me down for everything please, I've just had provisional approval from SWMBO to attend, both of us.

I seem to have first refusal on Reffro's room that he wants to pass on.
And, if at all possible can we add the 2 of us to the distillery tour (whenever that is and whoever is organising it!)

IIRC Reffro had booked Friday and Saturday so we'll be there for all the social events, not sure what we'll do Sunday evening.

The plan after that (details TBD) is to head to Islay and possibly Jura too. Not sure if anyone has ever driven an S8 on Jura!

Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Sorry that Reffro can't make it, but pleased to hear his room is taken already!

The distillery tour will remain open until the end of this month when we'll need to book it. I'll send bank details by PM to those who've 'signed up' in a couple of weeks or so.

There may be an additional tour option (later in the day, and not another distillery!): more details soon.

I don't think his non-attendance is 100% confirmed yet, but I've taken first refusal (with him) on his room and will await developments before we change the booking at Tyndrum.

Meanwhile I'm prepared to take the risk of booking the distillery tour etc.

OK, I'm definitely out I'm afraid. Spoken with my friends, there is a big birthday bash for that weekend and I can't miss it. Shame as I was so looking forward to the drive up and seeing all and sundry again.

Andrew, the room will be yours. I'll call the hotel later, if you PM me your full name and a number, I'll ask them to call you to confirm.

Right, we seem to be booked in for 3 nights at Tyndrum - Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Sunday is cancellable at short notice, depending on our forward travel plans.
As we're hoping to go on to Islay and Sunday ferries (from Kennacraig) are limited this seems a sensible choice.

Personally, iv never had the pleasure of a reply to my email from Tyndrum Inn.

That firstly means - I wont ever be booking a stay there.

Second - il probably book a hotel a few miles down the road.

To be fair, I think we swamped them and there was a lot of confusion over the initial bookings. If you give them a call, they might be able to recommend a nearby B&B or hotel. Ask for Andy or Jennifer
