Worst I've bought was for my wife. Hyundia Pony. An unspeakably appalling car

Worst I've had for me. Renault Laguna V6 3.0. So uncomfortable, so astonishingly uncomfortable

Worst loaner. Nissan Serena. I still see these on the roads, and feel sympathy for those inside, although to be fair they usually look happy enough!

Worst car I've driven. Easy - Lada Riva Estate

I too very much enjoyed a 1988 Senator 3.0 CDI. Really well built, loved the interior, and with switchable dampers all the way back then.
The Senators front grill design was lifted by Audi

Favourite. Probably the last one, D2 S8 but its a close run thing with my Cortina 2 door 2.0 GT

I had a laguna from new that went back into the dealership 14 times in 12 months - electrical issues and 4 new ECU's etc etc, simply appalling. Renault finally got threatened by the fleet manager at Corus who bought over 1000 cars a year and decided to finally take the car back - I will NEVER EVER have another Renault because of how Renault UK handled it (or rather didnt).

Wasnt the Nissan Serena the holder of the slowest 0-60 time of any car for many years? lol something like 28 seconds

hateful hateful car lol

The serena... yuck... Guy I used to work with had one, ironic how he was always obessed with benchmarks and had the slowest motor vehicle in christendom.

But then again, it was basically a van with windows and crap seats.

Thinking about Mrs P's cars... She's only had 2 that I didn't like (because I usually chose them).

1984 Fiat Uno 1000 Fire - Rust on wheels.. crap, but surprisingly OK
1989 Astra Belmont 1600 GL - My dad's old car, was pretty good, quite liked it
1994 Laguna 1.8 RN - Meh... Seriously Meh...
2000 Passat 1.8T Sport - Yes, we did have a his and her's matching set Tornado Red, with black interior, lovely car
2002 Kia Sedona 2.9CDRi LX - Not too slow, wee bit noisy, but like driving an armchair, and more practical than a big practical thing, seats all came out for instant transit van and sliding doors
2005 Vectra 1.8 - Craparolla!!!!! You either got a pile of wheelspin, or kangaroo petrol, no inbetween
1998 Audi A8 4.2QS - Another his and her's matching set
2005 Volvo XC90 2.4D5 - Actually quite like it.. Practical, not stupid slow after a remap, and you can put 7 folk and 2 dogs in it...

Worst.. Either the Uno or the Vectra.. The Uno was an 80's rustbucket so can be forgiven.. the Vectra.. really not for a 21st century car...

Yes, they were Webasto sliding 'canvas' sunroofs on the SD1, also the preceding P6 & P5's had them as options....

Here's a bit of West Midlands nostalgia, set to music.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-17693856
There must be a few "worsts" in there......

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

yes thats the one, slid back so almost the whole roof was open, was really nice in the summer specially as their was no air con - as long as you had one that didnt leak that is.

thought it was a great car at the time, it actually went round corners unlike the older shape Rover 3500 which was like a barrel on the corners, had a front tyre blow out at 115 mph on the M20, fortunately had those tyres which reinflate immediately so not much of a drama at all.
