spent most of yesterday enjoying my birthday present (see other thread) on the roads in the area around the Annual meet, we tried not to stop too often but when we did I can confirm the famous Scottish midge is alive and well

The good news is the Green Welly Stop shop next to the Tyndrum Inn has a good stock of Avon Skin So Soft available.

Page 30.... not sure we've ever had a page 30 before !!

I see plenty of last minute car preperation going on, but dont worry you can rest assured that I'll be setting the bar low as always with at best a cleanish windscreen, unless I run out of washer fluid

I defo wont be in an 8 this year, so you probably wont want me polluting the meet photos (again )

Thanks to Jim and the guys for setting this all up - I'm tired trying to keep up with it all and order a simple meal, juggling all of the preperations must be quite exhausting

Sorry to hear you can't make it Clive, especially under the circumstances.

See you all on Friday/Saturday

Surely one of the "locals" can do a bulk buy for us in a local supermarket at a discounted price?

And donate the surplus as prizes.

2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions and extended leather. Ski hatch retrofit. Aftermarket reversing camera. DVB-T and XCarlink now removed as redundant.
2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (Even rarer than a D2 S8!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. Agate Grey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, Tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon. Added Auto-dim mirror, Leather seats, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

There are probably a couple of members not quite sure whether they should come to the Annual meet this year, by way of enticement I offer these pictures as an example of the kind of exotic automotive attractions found on the streets of Oban.......
