Good news, the car is provisionally sold pending collection and paperwork. I'll update all in due course, but it looks like it'll be staying in the fold.

I know the chap who's bought it. Really nice guy. I bought my 1999 Audi Cabrio from him several years ago. I loved that car...
In a 'isn't it a small world' type scenario, it turned out he was selling a D3 A8 that I enquired about last week when I thought I was going to have to sell my only-just-purchased S8.

Phil....that's very kind of you to say!
I think it would be rude for someone not to buy this car....it's such a well written ad and judging by all that paperwork......a very well maintained/cared for car. Not sure how long I'll own the car for, but, I will enjoy driving it during my quest for a nice, well equipped A6 avant. I'll keep you posted.

Car has now been collected and winging its way back to Bucks not far from where it was PDI'd in 2001, so I am now down to just one A8.
