Outcome - In the MMI you should now be able to go to Car > Driver Assistance > Adaptive Cruise and see a new option there to set the default adaptive cruise distance.

For me (A8L W12 D4), this didn't make sense, there's no "channel 07" in the Adaptation menu.
I had to do the following; Address 13, Adaptation Channel: IDE01949-Distance basic setting option OFF (turn ON).
Once done, a new menu appears in the 'car settings' to set the default cruise distance. Thanks to the Ross-Tech forums for this one.

Just ask them if they can activate Online Traffic Services and it will be switched on in @24 hours.

You will then see the Online symbol on the lower left of the MMI screen and Audi CS will confirm via email also.

I done this on my 2011 @6 months ago and on my 2014 earlier this week.

Free 12 months Traffic Service seems a good thing for me despite me preferring to use Google Earth!

To use the free version of the traffic service, I assume you have to have a SIM card in the car? If that's the case is there any way around the problem of the 2G & 3G network service being unavailable?
