A separate relay operating one of the two fans would solve the parallel operating problem.
Four wires of suitable grade.
Assuming the resister pack switches live (?), you will need two earths (ie same earth, two wires) and grab a live off the back of the alternator (with a suitable fuse - 30A).

If the resister pack can run the big fan fully, you could always reverse the wiring and run the old fan via a relay. I wouldn't want to have to wait for speed 3 to get the big fan to full speed though. Engine cooling takes priority over aircon, or being "nice" to the old fan!
Aux fans aren't that expensive or difficult to replace either.

2001 Audi S8 - Brilliant Black with Black interior, C5 RS6 rims (whenever I actually put them on...), Solar Sunroof, Tinted side and rear glass, RNS-D, Grom, Bose, clunky old phone in arm rest!
2002 Audi S8 - Project
Replacement head coming arrived thanks to MJ
Silver with Black interior. All features as the '01, with the 'S' mode auto shifter. Dodgey rear tint (need to find a way to get rid of that).
2009 Volvo XC90 V8 R Design
- has a louder more obnoxious exhaust than the S8, sounds great! Love this thing - Q7 was double the price, and certainly not double the car!

1997 Audi A4
- Hamilton's Club Sport, Achat Grey (will miss the old girl)

The thread i neded because i tend to retire visco/disco tech and install spall fan and wire it.
Im just interested in performance of new setup?
God loves speed.
Earth orbital speed is 107200 km/h.
And someone set speed limit on earth at 50km/h. Well road safety they say. I say that is bad engineering
