Neighbour has a 2004 a4 8e 1.9 TDi. He's blanked off his EGR, but it threw up the engine management light, so he reversed the procedure.
He knew I had vagcom, so I cleared the fault code for him and we set about, to no avail, to adapt the value of '32768' to '33768' like we'd seen in Youtube/audi forum guides and the like. After inputting 33768 and hitting test, it just does nothing, and the option to save is greyed out. It seems you can increase the number a bit, but not as high as 33768. So I restored the value to 32768 and we left it there... Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John

Suppose it would depend on the software level whether it would accept the changes in adaptation ..... Looks like yours will not .
You could take it to a tuners / mappers. and get it written out of the file obviously at whatever costs that would be or ..... you could ,if you are blanking egr off with a blanking plate drill a hole in the plate say about 8mm or 10 mm so not completely blanking egr off but calming down the through flow somewhat |

Cheers Lee. Neighbour is away, but I'll let him know when I see him.
