Engine Oil for V10 BSM
Hi Folks,
For our higher mileage (160k) cars - do we need to consider shifting to the Castrol 0w40 oil from the 0/5w30 oil? Can anyone let me know if shifting to an API SM/ SN/ SL oil is ok? I’m wondering if this can be an issue for the cat converters? My son has generously offered me 20litres of Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5w40 (API SN, SM, SL).

You do not need a 0W oil in a BSM engine. Any good 5W-40 will do a good job. I personally use the Ravenol RCS in my BSM.
