The Audi Build Sticker. A Wealth of information
Many items of equipment are fitted at the factory depending on when the car was built, and from an external appearance and drivability they can seem identical. At this point, the only real way to tell is to refer to the build sticker.
The sticker is on the inside cover of your original Audi Service booklet, and a dupliacate is stuck inside the spare wheel well. This square, white sticker has every code on that is required to work out exactly what part is needed for your '8. An example is below:

I guess you've tried looking , so get out your service book, have a look in the front for the page with a sticker, like the one at the top of this post. If you don't have the service book, have a look in the hole where your spare wheel is kept. Hopefully your duplicate build sticker is still there. When you have the sticker, check the codes for leather (they may be different to the codes on the exaple at the top of this thread), get the code decoder, also mentioned in this thread, and type in the codes from your sticker. It should then tell you all about your car, including the type and colour of the leather fitted. If you post a picture of your build sticker, I'll decode it for you if you want

being a wet and miserable day here in southern france I though I would have a look to see what the options codes list in the service book meant , intended to do it for a few years
clicked on the igorweb link which didn't work , but got there thanks to mr google apart from discovering that I had acoustic glass [ whatever that is ] I discovered things that I don't have , and wouldn't know what it was if I did !! eg 4LA without controls ...I know they are introducing driverless cars but I didn't realise I had one 3HA without leather parts control ...the mind boggles 1SA without additional front underbody guard ...would that mean double thickness ? in addition I have CBC but audi must be keeping it secret as it is not in the list , or maybe they are just telling about something else I don't have ! ah well , kept me out of mischief I suppose |
