Your Bake Pad, Disk, Caliper Recommendations (Fronts)

Guys,

Given the number of times the question 'Which Pads, Disks, Callipers should I use on the Front/Back' here is an opportunity to post what you have and why you have it.

I have included a poll of all the options I know of.......

Rear set up here.
Pads here.

Would have upgraded, but decided to buy a D3 instead...

Love the car and it'll be even better when it works properly :)

Again this is a work in progress.

I have B7 RS4 discs but can't source the 8 pot calipers anywhere (at a reasonable price).

After a discussion with Mike at GTI International I may try and fit the discs with the existing 4 pot Brembos, as they are only 20mm wider, and wait until the 8 pots turn up.

We'll see what happens :)

Hi There,

S8, d2, with 345mm Bembro calipers as standard. Just changed for EBC Red Stuff and slotted ultimax discs on the fronts. (a quiet combination, drilled or yellow will add noise).

They seem to be good and quiet so far. But have only done 280miles and most was crusing a motorway (240). The car seems sweeter to drive. Less judder. But then the old pads were down to metal and the discs scored (i knew i was changing both)

Need to swap the rears for EBC standard discs and red stuff pads yet but wanted to run the fronts in first.

cya,
Lee

Not so keen on the 'don't use eBay' thing though....

Gonna have to start saving for some upgrades to pop on the D2.

It may just be they are getting hammered with their Ebay and Paypal commission.

But it can't hurt to be careful.

Maybe Chriss8 will help me out?
