Dimensions of passenger footwell relay box cover needed
Would any of you have a drawing or dimensions of the piece of wood which covers the relay box on passenger foot well? Mine is so deformed I can't even use it as a stencil to make a new one

Sean almost certainly will, he made some very nice replacements. +++
Hopefully he'll be along soon and can help. (I've just PM'ed him this thread) |
Mark did too, so he may be along soon

I did: http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=11673
... but unfortunately I never took measurements. I just used the old one as a template. If nobody has measurements I'll pop the cover off and measure it when I have time. |
I've been using my least-ruined one as a template to cut replacements from marine ply. I'll see if I can find it and get some pics with dimensions.
Maybe if I can transpose it to CAD I could make a printable template? |

I know this is a bit low tech, but I took mine out and measured it! Attached are photos with dimensions written on the cover itself (in cm), taken in two different lights, so I hope enough of them are clear to be helpful.
PLEASE NOTE: the photos are rotated 90 degrees relative to the orientation in the car! The 35.5cm line is the bottom of the cover. Let me know if there's a measurement that's missing. |
I spent a little time the other day transcribing mine in to CAD. That was easy. Problem is, now all I can do with it is 3d print it or send it to a CNC machine! The idea was to make a 4-page document that you can print, stick together and then cut along the line to make a template. Trying to output a 3D model to a 2D PDF however, is apparently impossible http://www.corradov8.com/pics/banghead.gif
However, while typing that ^ I just had an idea which I will try later +++ |
